Money Binds, Power Frees!
Power vs. Activity: The Misconception That Keeps You Bound
Editor’s Note
In this profound discourse, Parth gracefully unravels the fundamental distinction between power and activity—two forces that shape human existence. With deep insight and clarity, he exposes how society has conditioned people to chase activity under the illusion of power, leading them into a life of toil rather than true liberation. This is not just a philosophical exploration; it is a direct invitation to wake up from the unconscious cycle of labor and reclaim the knowledge that sets one free.
Power vs. Activity: The Misconception That Keeps You Bound
Have you ever wondered why there is so much fuss about education? Education has stripped humanity of its power by redirecting people toward action. It has turned them into laborers for industries, making them believe that activity is power.
But let’s get this straight—activity is not power.
Activity gives you the confidence that you are moving in the right direction. But confidence is not clarity. Activity binds you; power liberates you.
When you have knowledge, it frees you from your mental prison. But when you labor endlessly for money, that money binds you—it never sets you free. Did you notice? Money binds, but knowledge frees. Yet, people cling to money because, in the vastness of existence, it feels like something to hold onto. This holding onto feels like power. It can dominate, it can destroy, but it cannot create.
Look at the world around you. If a child is raised well—eats well, sleeps well, reproduces well—people think that child has had a good life. But in reality, that child has received the greatest domination in the form of expectations. Did you see? This domination is coming from an imprisoner’s mind, and now you are passing it on to your children. What a disaster.
Two Dimensions That Shape Your Life
At the core of existence, there are only two dimensions you can work with—energy and memory. How much energy is left in you determines how much memory comes into play.
If your energy evaporates before the cycle is complete, we call it an accident. If the cycle gets a full momentum of energy, we call it grace.
Now, if we simplify it further, these two dimensions translate into power and activity. But for most people, there is no distinction between them. They believe that if they act, action will give them power.
No, it doesn’t. In fact, they are inversely proportional.
This is why in yoga, we work to reverse the ratio—to generate more power and reduce unnecessary activity. If someone is too engaged in the body, they become trapped in physical activity. But if one generates enough power, nature lifts the burden of physical toil from them.
If power intensifies to a certain level, activity vanishes. You create a distance from it. Then, you are blessed.
Most humans never generate real power because they believe they must do karma. So unconsciously, activity takes over. That is why they are confused. They don’t know when to be restful and conserve energy. And when they engage in action, they feel exhausted because they don’t have energy in the first place.
This is why—a laborer is not just a laborer, a peon is not just a peon, a principal is not just a principal, a mason is not just a mason, a plumber is not just a plumber. A husband is not necessarily a responsible husband. A wife is not necessarily a responsible wife.
You want a job? You don’t know what to study? Because clarity is lacking.
The necessary power has not been established in your system to lubricate the machine and make it work. If you believe you must act, your mind must be ultra-clear about what to do. Otherwise, when you move into action, you will feel lost, dizzy—like you are standing on shaky ground.
If you want a car to function smoothly, it must have the necessary fuel, oil, pumped tires, proper handle—everything intact. But right now, you want to drive this car, and you don’t even know where the ignition is.
That’s a disaster.
Power Comes from Knowledge, Not Action
When I say power, I don’t mean physical strength. The only way to generate real power is knowledge.
If you know how to drive a car, you can simply roll it down the road. If you don’t even know which fuel to use, you will be a lousy driver.
Whatever you do—any action you take—without the necessary knowledge, how can you take the next step?
If you wake up in the morning and don’t know what to do, you will just do whatever others tell you to do. And if you become that—constantly listening to everyone—you might be an obedient human, but your life is finished.
People may shower you with blessings, but if you don’t know where you are going, what will you do with those blessings?
That is why we have been telling you—learn, become conscious, be attentive. If you don’t have knowledge, no matter how hard you work, it will never be productive. Instead, it will frustrate and destroy you.
For example, if you have an exam tomorrow but no idea how to prepare, you might die of a heart attack just thinking about it. So, you run to someone who gives you partial knowledge, and now you are trapped.
Knowledge is Only Power If It Sets You Free
Knowledge is power only if it brings you freedom. If it imprisons you, then it is not knowledge—it is a trap.
And right now, this is what is happening to humanity.
People are long dead. But they are still walking.
No power. No knowledge. Only activity.
They have become like robots. Born as humans, turned into machines.
We are manufacturing engine cogs instead of life because there is no knowledge that liberates people from this prison.
As a doctor, I have seen it. I have experienced it. And the only thing I can say is—get the proper knowledge before you collapse and die.
Otherwise, the remaining years you live will be accidental or filled with enormous suffering.
Because there is no knowledge, you have lost your health. You have lost your well-being. And yet, when I talk about knowledge, you are lying there, reading this, thinking about how to make more money for entertainment.
Well, if you had knowledge, all your madness would simply evaporate.
Then, you would become sane. And you would just sit and watch a flower bloom.
This is what you need.
But you are dead inside. And that is why you crave entertainment, money, extra food, extra sleep. Everything is doubling because you are frustrated within yourself.
I am not saying this.
Just place your hand on your heart and ask yourself—
“Am I really happy?”
You will hear a tiny voice whisper:
“Of course not.”
And in that moment, you will know—
It is time to wake up.
Q&A on Power and Activity (Most Asked on Social Media)
Q1: What is the difference between power and activity?
A: Activity is motion; power is potential. Activity is doing; power is being. True power allows action to be effortless, while blind activity creates exhaustion.
Q2: Can you achieve power through hard work?
A: No. Hard work without knowledge is slavery. True power comes from clarity, which makes action effective rather than excessive.
Q3: How can I cultivate power instead of just engaging in activity?
A: By seeking knowledge, conserving energy, and aligning your actions with clarity rather than compulsion.

Do You Want Power or Do You Want Money?
Most people spend their lives chasing money, believing it will give them power. But have you ever stopped to ask yourself—does money truly liberate you, or does it bind you even further?
Money Binds, Power Frees
Money is like a chain. It makes you feel secure because, in the vastness of existence, at least you have something to hold onto. But holding onto something is not freedom—it is fear.
True power is different. Power does not need security; power does not seek validation. Power liberates.
Look at your own life—everything you do is to make more money, but have you ever felt truly free? The more money you earn, the more you fear losing it. That is not power—that is slavery.
Power Comes from Knowledge, Not Wealth
A rich man with no knowledge is just a prisoner in a golden cage. But a man with knowledge, even with nothing, is unstoppable.
Power comes from knowledge. Knowledge gives you clarity. Clarity gives you freedom.
Money only gives you a temporary illusion of control. But true power means you don’t need control at all.
What Are You Chasing?
Ask yourself:
Do I want real power, or do I just want money?
If you seek power, you must seek knowledge. Because only knowledge can set you free.
