The Equanimous State of Buddhi: Transcending the Mind

Understanding Equanimity in Intelligence

The equanimous state of buddhi—what does it mean? It means your intelligence remains unwavering, undisturbed by what happens around you. Right now, if someone praises you, you are on top of the world. If someone criticizes you, suddenly you are in the depths of despair. This means your intelligence is being hijacked by external situations. This is not intelligence; this is slavery. If you can be unaffected by praise or insult, joy or suffering, success or failure, then your buddhi has become equanimous.

In yogic traditions, this is referred to as sthitaprajña—a state of steady wisdom. It means you are not swayed by personal likes and dislikes. You simply perceive reality as it is. There is no distortion, no bias, no emotional drama—just clarity. If you operate from this state, your perception is pure, your decisions are precise, and your experience of life is effortless.

The Energy Exchange of Life

Right now, whether you are eating, watching a movie, listening to a song, or simply walking, you are constantly losing energy. Even to see, to hear, to smell, you must lose energy. Without this exchange, your senses would not function. This is why the night is generally peaceful—because this exchange is minimal. But the moment the sun rises, whether you are aware of it or not, you start to burn. You may burn consciously, or you may burn unconsciously—that is your choice.

What does this mean? There is a continuous input of data from the outside world. Without this input, you as a person cannot function. But if you learn to cut off this input, suddenly you start to glow from within. This is what happens when someone engages in intense sadhana. We trick the system into a state where the energy exchange is at its lowest. When this input is cut off, something extraordinary happens—what was dissipating outward is now contained within. This is why, when you look at a true yogi, his eyes are upturned—not looking at this or that, just presence. He is no longer chasing life; he has become life itself.

Samadhi: The Science of Inner Stillness

You may have heard of yogis who went into certain states and their ailments simply disappeared. There are entire galaxies of beings who attained such states and walked out of their diseases as if they never existed. We call this samadhi—a state where the mind is in absolute equanimity, and the inputs from the outside world are cut off.

There are two fundamental types of samadhi, further divided into eight subtypes—each an intricate science of inner transformation. When this happens, two distinct worlds emerge—what ordinary people call the material and the spiritual.

The so-called spiritual world is when you cut off external input completely. If you do it absolutely, we call it Mahasamadhi—where one is no more. This is not death; this is absolute dissolution. Simply non-existence. The other is the material world—where input still exists, but one is no longer enslaved by it. So, what binds you or liberates you is not the world, not some divine force, not even karma—it is simply your own mind.

Desire and the Illusion of Freedom

Your mind collects data from the outside world, processes it, analyzes it, and keeps you bound in the cycle of birth and death. What truly keeps you entangled is desire—not because desire is bad, but because it is unconscious. You do not desire consciously; you are simply driven by compulsions. The problem is not desire—the problem is unconsciousness. If you become fully conscious, you will not fight your desires; you will transcend them. You will have the ability to use your mind when needed and keep it aside when not. Otherwise, your own buddhi becomes the source of all your suffering.

Your intellect, if left unchecked, becomes the currency of the material world, the breeding ground of lust, greed, violence, and disorder. It is the root cause of suffering. If we do not work on the fundamental well-being of human beings, no amount of health interventions will ever be enough. Investing in health is important, but well-being goes far beyond health. If you become conscious, you will see this piece of life as the only thing that truly matters. Otherwise, life will keep throwing you from one state to another, and you will call it fate.

The Choice: Conscious Evolution or Unconscious Existence

This is not the doing of some external force. This is simply the nature of existence. Creation is doing what creation does. If you do not learn to handle it consciously, you are just another casualty of life. A dumb case.

The question is—are you willing to transcend your compulsions and know life beyond intellect, beyond external influences? Or will you remain trapped in the endless fluctuations of your own mind? That choice is entirely yours.

Health is My Domain –

If you give me this body, I will restore it. If you allow me, I will rejuvenate it. And if you are willing, I will take it beyond. Health is not a mystery to me—I hold the original blueprint. I know where it began, I know how it thrives, and I know how to take it to its peak.

Your commitment is all I ask. The rest—restoring your vitality, aligning your energies, and setting you on the path of absolute well-being—that is my business. This is not a claim; this is my promise.

This body, this mind, this life… they are meant to radiate health, not struggle with disease. If you have suffered enough, if you are done playing with half-measures, come. Let’s make this journey happen.
