Are You Living on Rent? By Parth

Read this blog by Parth—piercing, wise, unsettling, yet liberating:—not to comfort you, but to shake the very ground beneath your secured life:

“Are You Living on Rent?”

There are only two kinds of people in this world—either you are mimicking the world around you, or you are rebelling against it. One is busy fitting in, the other is busy fighting. Both are trapped. One is a repetition of yesterday, the other is just reaction in another form. Neither is free.

This anxiety will always be there—one of security, the other of freedom. A spiritual seeker goes through this profoundly. His body and mind want the comfort of the herd, the security of being like everyone else. But the consciousness that he is, demands freedom.

If you do not create the necessary balance, believe me, your whole life will become hell. Not metaphorically—literally. The pull of the body and mind in one direction, and the fire of your being in another, will tear you apart.

This is not some exotic condition—it’s happening to almost every human being today. Look at the modern world. Why do you think nations need thousands of pages of constitutional laws just to keep people functioning? Because frustration, when not transformed, becomes a dangerous force. It has to be contained, regulated, tamed.

People have not realized freedom, so they must be ruled.

You may have received your body from your parents, and the five elements from existence—but your consciousness, that is not from someone. It is not gifted. It is not taught. It is you. You cannot receive what you already are. You can only become aware.

But if you live constantly identified with what is not yours—your possessions, your opinions, your fragile mind and this borrowed body—then fear is inevitable. Not just fear of losing something, but fear of being nobody if all of this is taken away.

That’s what you are afraid of, isn’t it? If everything you’ve clung to is gone—who are you?

Living like this is no different than staying in a rented house. The owner can increase the rent anytime. Or worse—throw you out without notice. This is how you are living. Borrowed identity. Borrowed dreams. Borrowed life.

This fear is not ordinary. It is not psychological—it is organic. It will throb in your bones. Even in your so-called success, it will whisper that it can all vanish. Even in your relationships, it will say, “This may not last.” It is not torment—it is truth.

You want liberation? You want power? Then stop being a tenant. Realize this house you call “me” is not you. It is your address—not your essence. You are not the house. You are the space.

So I ask you—not politely, but with the intensity that truth deserves—how long will you live on rent?

Q&A

BLOG TITLE: Are You Living on Rent?
With Parth

Participant: Parth, I often find myself torn between wanting a secure, stable life and this deep urge to break free, to explore something more. But the moment I think of freedom, anxiety kicks in. Why is that?

Parth:
This is not just your confusion—this is the crossroads every human being must face at some point. There are only two kinds of people in this world: one mimics society, following trends, traditions, and structures. The other rebels, fighting against the very same things.

But here's the catch—both are trapped. One is lost in imitation. The other is lost in reaction. Neither has tasted true freedom.

Participant: So this anxiety between wanting security and seeking freedom… what do we do with it?

Parth:
This anxiety is not your enemy. It’s your wake-up call.

The body and mind crave security—comfort, stability, approval. That’s how they’re wired. But the consciousness that you are wants freedom. It doesn’t want to fit in. It wants to expand beyond all limitations.

If you don’t consciously align these two forces within you, your life will become a battlefield. This is not some philosophical idea—it’s happening everywhere. Look around. Why do you think society needs complex legal systems, rules, and restrictions just to keep people in check? Because frustrated beings must be managed. When the inner balance is missing, the outside must be controlled.

And that’s what the modern world is doing—containing chaos with constitutions.

Participant: You say the things we identify with are not really ours. How do we understand this deeply?

Parth:
You received your body from your parents. Your thoughts came from your environment. Even the five elements that make up your body—they belong to the Earth. But your consciousness—that spark of life—you didn’t get it from anyone.

It is not given. It is who you are.

Yet, you go on identifying with everything else—your looks, your achievements, your relationships. But all of this can be taken away. And somewhere deep inside, you know that. That’s why there’s fear.

It’s like living in a rented house. You decorate it, settle in, but it’s never yours. The owner may increase the rent. Or worse—he might evict you without warning.

And this is how most people live. Chained to a life that isn’t truly theirs.

Participant: Is this fear just mental? Or is it deeper than that?

Parth:
It is far deeper. This fear is not psychological—it is organic. It doesn’t just live in your thoughts—it seeps into your bones. Even when everything looks perfect on the outside, something feels off.

Because what you’re clinging to is not yours.

Even in your moments of success, this fear whispers, “It could all disappear.” Even in your relationships, this anxiety looms, “This may not last.” And this is not paranoia—it’s simply the truth.

Participant: Then how do we go beyond it? How do we stop living on rent?

Parth:
First, stop identifying with what isn’t you. Your body and mind are just your vehicles—not your essence.

You are not the rented house.
You are the space it contains.

You are not your possessions.
You are the presence behind it all.

When this becomes your lived experience—not a belief, but a direct knowing—then you will stop clinging. And when you stop clinging, fear will have no soil to grow in.

Parth’s Closing Words:
So the question is not philosophical. It is very real:
How long will you live on rent?
How long will you fear being evicted from a life that was never truly yours?

It’s time to step out—not into another identity, but into your own being.

When you realize that… you don’t just survive—you soar.
You don’t just exist—you ignite.
You don’t just live—you become Life itself.
