The Real Source of Disease

The Real Source of Disease: Why Awareness Is the Only Cure

By Dr. Partha Kalita

Life is not happening in your body, and it is not happening in your mind. Life is happening only in your awareness. Whatever you call joy or pain, clarity or confusion, health or illness — all of it is simply the way you are experiencing life in this moment. If you observe carefully, where does anything truly touch you? Not in the muscles, not in the bones, not even in the thoughts — it touches you in your experience. Suffering arises there. Fear arises there. Disorder, disturbance, and disease begin there.

So if your experience is not in your hands, nothing in life will ever truly be in your hands.

Today, the world is busy managing everything external — the job, the family, the body, the social image. But the one who is experiencing all this is left unmanaged. As long as the viewer remains the same, the movie of life will not change. You may repair the screen again and again, but if the projector is tilted, every scene will appear distorted.

This is why disorders are so common. At the level of ordinary perception — what I call 3D perception — problems are natural. You fix one issue, another appears. It is not bad luck. It is simply that the inner mechanics of the viewer have not shifted.

Yet everywhere you turn — people, science, institutes, universities, medicine — they all shout the same slogan:

“We will heal you from the root cause!”

Let me be blunt, like I always am:
this is absolute nonsense.
Pure, polished, scientific-sounding bullshit.

One person says the root cause is in your bones.
Another says it is in your mind.
Recently, some have started saying it is in your energies.

Why these changing theories?
Because they are still searching. They are trying, but not seeing.
They have not reached anything real.

There is no single root cause sitting somewhere inside you waiting to be plucked out.
Life is not organized in such a simplistic way.

It is all cause and effect — but not the way you imagine.
You think cause is here and effect is over there.
No.
Effect is inside the cause, and cause is inside the effect.
They are intertwined like fire and heat, like fragrance and flower — you cannot separate them.

Take a simple example: your muscle is paining.
Where is the cause?
The muscle is certainly involved — one layer of cause.
But why is the pain unbearable?
Because the effect has extended into your emotions, into your mind, into your energies.

Now, if you only look at emotions, they will look like the cause.
Look at the mind — that will seem like the cause.
Look at the energies — they too will appear like the cause.

Everything flips depending on where you are looking.

So what is the real truth?
Everything is the cause — the effect is only the viewer.
The effect is simply the result of how you are experiencing every layer of life’s mechanics.

This is why true healing at the 3D level is impossible.
You can patch it.
You can reduce symptoms.
You can manage it.
But you cannot break the cycle.
Because you are operating at the level where the problem is designed to repeat.

Medicine is essential — absolutely.
When something from outside invades the body, when microbes or infections disrupt the system, modern medicine can help immensely. But nearly eighty percent of chronic suffering does not arise from outside. It arises because people have not understood their own experience. They fight symptoms endlessly without ever seeing the source.

Shoonya is not about correcting the body; it is about correcting the way you experience life.
Medicine adjusts your chemistry.
Shoonya adjusts the one who lives within that chemistry.

Think of it like watching a movie.
In 2D, it is flat.
In 3D, it feels alive.
In 7D, the whole thing shakes your bones.

But the movie has not changed — only the viewer’s perception has changed.

When you begin to see yourself clearly — your reactions, patterns, fears, resistances — a natural understanding arises. And when understanding arises, resistance dissolves. Your chemistry loosens. Your energies settle. The body functions better. The mind becomes lighter. Health happens not because something outside changed, but because you changed.

Scriptures have always said:
You cannot bypass karma.
You cannot skip the experience.
You must go through it.

But how you go through it is your freedom.
You can go through it crying.
You can go through it resisting.
You can go through it suffering.
Or you can go through it with a big, ridiculous smile — free, open, untouched.

The difference is just one thing: your awareness.

If awareness rises, experience changes.
When experience changes, chemistry changes.
And that shift is what we call health.

People think healthcare means treating the body.
No.
True health-care means raising awareness.
Because only by changing awareness can health truly happen.

Medicine can support the body.
Science can stabilize the system.
But only awareness transforms the one who lives inside the system.

Change the viewer —
and the whole movie of life becomes smooth, joyful, and effortless.

This is the essence of life,
the essence of health,
the essence of Shoonya,
the essence of inner evolution.

In A Nutshell

Disease never comes from one root cause; disease is a distortion in experience.

And the only real cure is clarity and awareness. Experience is the source. Mind, emotion, energy, and body are expressions.

Disease is the final manifestation, not the root. Ignorance of one’s true nature is the only source of disorder. Ignorance does not mean lack of information. It means mistaken perception — a limited way of experiencing life. you cannot bypass karma.

You cannot skip the experience.

You must live through it — but with awareness, not suffering. Awareness transforms the very texture of the experience. only by changing awareness can health be reached.

Life is happening only in your awareness. Not in the body, not in the mind — in the way you *experience* them.

Whatever you call joy or misery, sickness or wellness, struggle or ease — all of it is born in that inner space of experience. But look at the world today — people, science, institutes, universities, medicine — everyone is shouting the same slogan:

“We will heal you from the root cause!”

If you do not heal the root cause, you cannot be cured — this is their big claim. This is absolute nonsense. Pure, polished, scientific-sounding bullshit.

One says the root cause is in your bones. Another says it is in your mind. Recently, others have begun saying it is in your energies. Why these changing theories? Because they are still trying, still searching, still not seeing.

They have not reached anything real.

There is no root cause sitting somewhere like a seed you can pluck out.

Life is not organized in that simplistic way.

It is all cause and effect — but not the way you think.

You imagine cause is here, effect is there.

No, no.

Effect is inside the cause, and cause is inside the effect. If you try to remove the cause, effect is gone too.

They are intertwined like fire and heat, like fragrance and flower — you cannot separate them.

Take a simple example. Your muscle is paining.

You ask, “Where is the cause?”

Well, the muscle is certainly involved. That is one layer of cause.

But why is the pain overwhelming you?

Because the effect has extended into the emotions.

Into the mind.

Into the energies.

Now if you only look at emotions, they will look like the cause.

If you look at the mind, it will look like the cause.

If you look at the energies, they too will appear like the cause.

While the muscle is showing the effect, the subtler layers are showing the cause.

Everything flips depending on where you are looking.

So what is the real truth?

What if, everything is the cause — the effect is only the viewer and vice versa?

The effect is simply the result of how you are experiencing everything that has caused.

This is why healing in the 3D level of perception is impossible.

You can patch, you can reduce symptoms, you can manage — but you cannot break the cycle. Because you are operating at the level where the problem itself is designed to repeat.

What, then, is the way?

Simple:

**You have to go through it — but how you go through it is your freedom.**

You can go through it crying.

You can go through it resisting.

You can go through it suffering.

Or you can go through it with a big, ridiculous smile on your face — light, free, untouched.

The difference is just one thing: your awareness.

If awareness rises, experience changes.

When experience changes, your whole chemistry changes.

And that change is what we call *health.*

People think healthcare means treating the body.

No.

True health-care is raising awareness — because only by changing awareness can health truly happen.

Medicine can help the body.

Science can support the system.

But only awareness transforms the one who is living inside the system.

When the viewer changes, life becomes smooth.

The movie is the same — but suddenly, you are no longer suffering through every scene.

This is the essence of health, the essence of Shoonya, the essence of inner evolution.

Suffering comes there.

Fear comes there.

Disease, difficulty, disturbance — everything arises first in that inner space.

So if your experience is not in your hands, nothing in life will ever truly be in your hands.

People try to manage the world — the job, the family, the body, the mind. But the one who is experiencing all this is left unmanaged. As long as the viewer remains the same, the movie of life will not change. You may repair the screen again and again, but if the projector is tilted, every scene will be distorted.

This is why disorders are so common. At the level of ordinary perception — what I call the 3D perception — problems are natural. You fix one issue, another one appears. It is not bad luck; it is just that the inner mechanics of the viewer has not shifted.

Medicine is important — absolutely. When something from outside invades the body, when there is an infection or a biological disturbance, modern medicine can help. But most chronic suffering does not come from outside. Nearly eighty percent of long-term problems arise because people have not understood their own experience. They fight symptoms without ever seeing the source.

Shoonya is not about correcting the body; it is about correcting the way you experience life.

Medicine adjusts your chemistry.

Shoonya adjusts the one who lives within that chemistry.

Think of it like watching a movie. In 2D it is flat. In 3D it feels alive. In 7D the whole thing shakes you. But the movie has not changed — only your perception has changed. Life works exactly the same way.

When you begin to see your own experience clearly — your emotions, reactions, fears, patterns — understanding naturally happens. And when understanding happens, resistance dissolves. Your chemistry loosens. The body functions better, the mind becomes lighter, and you feel healthier not because something outside changed, but because *you* changed.

Science can treat the body.

Spirituality can transform the one who uses the body.

Both are needed, but they address two different dimensions.

If you change the viewer, if you make your perception clear and your energies balanced, then life stops pricking you at every step. The movie continues, but you are no longer disturbed by every scene.

This is the essence:

Change the viewer — and life becomes smooth, joyful, and effortless.
