Achievement Is Not Something You Reach – It’s Something You Become
Most people think achievement is a destination. “Once I get that promotion, I’ll be fulfilled. Once I have that car, I’ll be happy.” But let me tell you a secret: achievement is never something you reach psychologically. It is something you become, the moment your awareness shifts.
Right now, I am speaking, and you are listening. Simple, isn’t it? Yet, pause and think: there are two of us, separated by space, united by time. If I had spoken yesterday or tomorrow, maybe you wouldn’t be here—or maybe I wouldn’t. But today, this moment, 8:30 A.M., 2nd July 2024, has brought us together.
Why? Because you chose this time, I chose this time, and somehow, the universe decided to cooperate. We co-created this audience, this stage, this very moment. If we existed in different timelines, we would be strangers in separate realities. Funny how life works, isn’t it? Time, in its mysterious way, makes us one.
But space… ah, space always keeps things interesting. You are there, I am here. Even if your child sits on your lap, there is still a subtle distance. This is the observer effect in life—you cannot observe without a little separation. If there were no space between you and your child, you would not be two—you would simply be one.
Right now, you haven't experienced anything except the physical. So in your understanding and experience, your awareness cannot teleport across space. So, You have to move your body physically. Walk to that person, cross the room, shake that hand. This is the grossest way to achieve anything. It works, but it’s slow, clumsy, and often exhausting.
The more sophisticated way? Work with your awareness. Become one with everything. Then, you don’t need to chase achievement—it’s already here. The illusion is that horizontal movement—moving your body, ticking off tasks—is the same as vertical growth of consciousness. Spoiler alert: it isn’t. This is why so many people feel restless, unfulfilled, forever chasing goals that never truly satisfy.
So people get busy, doing, doing, doing. And if the world outside doesn’t cooperate, if your circumstances are not relaxed, you cannot succeed. That’s why society builds support systems. But over time, reliance on these systems creates dependency, emotional and psychological. Slowly, people feel incomplete. Not because they lack ability, but because the game they are playing is an illusion.
Achievement is awareness in action. Physical effort is just the outer layer. When your awareness aligns, the universe itself seems to conspire with you. And suddenly, what you thought was far away… is already yours.
So next time you are chasing a goal, pause. Ask yourself:
Am I moving my body, or evolving my awareness?
Am I doing, or simply being?
Because once you are being, everything you want is already present. And if you can laugh at the whole chase, you will find the journey delightful, effortless, and strangely magical.
In A Nutshell
Achievement is not something you reach to, psychologically. Achievement is something you become, through your awareness.
Right now, I am speaking, and you are listening. Fundamentally, there are two of us—you and me—separated by space, yet united by time. If I had wanted to speak to you at a different time, maybe you would not be here, or maybe I would not be here. But right now, it is 8:30 A.M., 2nd July 2024. Because I come from this timeline, and you wished to join me in the same timeline, we have co-created this moment—this stage, this audience, this very situation. Had we existed in different times, this co-creation could not have happened.
So, in a way, we have become one. We experience a certain oneness because of time. But space still separates us. You are there, I am here. Even if your child comes and sits on your lap, there is still a fundamental space between you—the observer and the observed. If there were no space, there would be no separation—you and the child would simply be one.
Right now, your awareness is such that you cannot break this separation merely through thought. To bridge this distance, your body must move. Physically covering the distance is the only way your awareness can shift from this space to that space. The moment you do it physically, your awareness follows. This is the grossest way to achievement—but it is still only partial.
There are more subtle ways of working with your awareness, where you do not need to achieve anything. You simply are, and whatever you want already manifests. The illusion is this: we think we must move our body horizontally to grow, while our awareness feels it is evolving vertically—but it is not. Physical movement does not guarantee the evolution of awareness. It never works that way.
Because of this, people become goal-oriented. They keep doing things again and again. And if the external situation is not relaxed, if there is no support, they cannot succeed. Authorities, the environment, the world around you—if they do not co-create, there is no other way you can “make it.” This is why society builds support systems. But over time, this creates dependency, emotionally and psychologically, and people carry a deep sense of incompleteness, because the entire game they are playing is an illusion.
The truth is, your awareness is the ultimate field of evolution. Physical action is just one layer. If you understand this, if you learn to be with your awareness, then achievement is not something to chase—it simply unfolds.
