The Seven Qualities of Being: Health Is the Dance of Balance
— By Parth, Neurologist, Neurospacescientist
Be Still, and You Will See
If you simply sit in absolute stillness—not to focus, not to meditate, not to become spiritual—but just be, something profound begins to unfold within you.
You will notice: you are not a static existence. You are not a fixed identity. You are vibrating between polarities—pulsating like an octopus stretching out into the infinite and collapsing back into itself. Somewhere between this inhalation and exhalation of existence, life happens—in its most dynamic, boundless form.
The Seven Qualities: One Truth in Two Directions
There are seven fundamental qualities that make up the human mechanism.
These are not attributes to be cultivated or corrected—they are elemental forces within you. And each of these qualities can express in two directions: what we commonly label as positive or negative.
But understand—positive and negative are not separate things. They are polar expressions of the same force. Like north and south of a magnet, they arise together. You cannot have one without the other. What matters is not suppression or indulgence—but balance.
You Are No Other Than Water
If you truly look at yourself, you will see: you are no other than a water body.
Not just physically. But existentially.
Water is not fixed. It becomes what it is placed in.
Put it in a tree—it becomes a tree.
Let it flow in a river—it becomes a river.
Place it in a human form—and suddenly, it begins to walk, speak, feel, think.
You are this water—shaping itself in the dynamism of energetic play.
The Dance of Opposites: Masculine & Feminine, Sun & Moon
This dynamic play is governed by two primal forces.
-
Masculine and feminine
-
Sun and moon
-
Pingala and Ida
-
Sympathetic and parasympathetic
These are not just philosophies—they are actual energetic systems within you.
You are alive because of the tension and balance between these. If one side dominates, you are no longer in tune with life. If the dance breaks, you suffer—whether in body, mind, emotion, or energy.
When You Freak Out, or Energies Freak Out…
It does not matter whether it is your system, or your energies—if either goes out of rhythm, life becomes distorted.
-
If your sympathetic system gets stuck, stress and anxiety become your companions.
-
If the parasympathetic slumps, fatigue and dullness take over.
Most people live life like a pendulum swing between these extremes—never settling into the center, never discovering the still point of balance.
This balance is not yoga. This balance is not meditation.
This balance is health.
Health Is Not Relief. It Is Harmony.
Health is not about being disease-free.
Health is a certain state of wholeness—where every layer of your being, from the cellular to the cosmic, is dancing in rhythm.
You do not “fix” yourself into health. You only become still, conscious, and receptive enough—so the system naturally finds its way back to its original intelligence.
That is the miracle. Not medicine. Not miracle drugs.
But your own inherent alignment.
Become the Dance, Not the Dancer
You are not here to fight the forces within you.
You are here to see them clearly, understand them deeply, and align yourself with the deeper pulse of existence.
When that happens, you are no longer the doer.
You are the dance.
And that… is health.
In A Nutshell
The Seven Qualities of Being: Health Is the Dance of Balance
By Parth
Sit still for a moment—not to control, not to concentrate, just be. If you become absolutely still within yourself, not mentally, not physically, but in the very core of your presence—suddenly you will begin to feel it, not in your head, but in your being: you are not one steady point of existence. You are vibrating between polarities. Like an octopus stretching out into the infinite and withdrawing into its own infinity. In this dynamism, life is happening—not in your thoughts, not in your biology, but in the profound pulse of creation.
There are seven basic qualities that shape the human system. These are not virtues to be acquired or sins to be avoided. These are fundamental qualities, like notes in a raga—each one capable of creating either harmony or distortion depending on how it's played. And yes, each of these seven qualities has a polar dimension—what you call positive and negative.
But don’t get caught in the language. Positive and negative don’t mean good and bad. They are not two things. They are one thing, pulled to opposite extremes. Like inhaling and exhaling. Like heat and cold. Like light and shadow. Without one, the other cannot be known.
If you observe keenly, you’ll see: you are no other than a water body.
Yes. The body is 70% water. But I am not talking chemistry. I’m saying your consciousness is like water—it takes the shape of whatever container it occupies.
If water settles in a tree, it becomes a tree.
If it flows in a riverbed, it becomes a river.
If it rises in you, it becomes human.
You are just water—shaping itself between the dynamism of what we call energy play.
This dynamism is not random. It is governed by the sacred dance of two forces: masculine and feminine.
The solar and the lunar.
Pingala and Ida.
In the body, they manifest as the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems.
You are not a product of one force. You are a balance of two dimensions. Health, vitality, clarity—these are not achieved. These are the side effects of balance.
If the masculine overrides, you become too rigid, aggressive, overactive.
If the feminine overwhelms, you become too passive, lazy, chaotic.
If your sympathetic system gets stuck in fight-or-flight, anxiety becomes your way of life.
If your parasympathetic slows down too much, lethargy becomes your destiny.
When either you freak out, or your energies freak out, life begins to disintegrate.
Health is not a medical condition. Health is a certain homeostasis of energies.
Not just physiology—energies.
So when we talk of healing, we are not trying to fix something broken.
We are simply reminding the system to come back to its original rhythm.
To remember its dance.
This is not philosophy. This is not psychology. This is pure physics of the inner.
If you become conscious, just a little more conscious, you’ll see—you don’t need to manage the seven qualities. You just need to be still enough… so that the balance happens by itself.
In that stillness, you are no more the doer. You become the dance.
And that… is health.
